  • Even Lagertha is fearing the sons of Ragnar……

  • The smile of King Aelle will soon be wiped clean off. He will regret the day he ever made that promise. A blood eagle is flying your way you cunt.

Overall such a heartbreakingly good episode. Odin has made his choice on who will receive the gods blessing.. Ivar the boneless. Gutted to see Travis Fimmel go, he played the role of Ragnar so well. He will always be king in my eyes! Alfred and Ivar playing chess, great foreshadowing of the battles to come between the two. Really excited to see how the others will react to Ragnar's death and hope they hear of how the old bore suffered.

  • time to kill some saracens

  • fuck lagetha the bitch

  • Is Lagertha supposed to die? I hope not. Dunno why everybody suddenly started liking Aslaug over Lagertha though; feels weird to me. I'd stopped disliking Aslaug at episode 4×11, but I didn't exactly like her either; she just left me cold.

Interesting to see that Floki seems to want to protect people rather than kill them in this clip… Can't wait to see how he and Bjorn will react to Ragnar's death. I personally sobbed over it (third time in my entire life that I've sobbed for "fictional" characters ), but I absolutely loved every second of it at the same time too. The development, the flashbacks; it was all amazing to watch.

I want to watch the entire season in one night, sigh

  • The way Ragnar died was gruesome, as well as the way he was tortured beforehand. It felt good to know Ecbert was a friend of Ragnar and was near tears at his death. Although poor ol' Ragnar has a good joke in store, and Ecbert won't like it very much.

  • Well we all know what's going to happen next episode. HAIL KING IVAR
